MAGIC MAGIC MAGIC. Is all I can say.
It was my birthday trip going to Forestry Camps. Its location, Its nature, and Its concept are just astonishing. The owner, Graham, went to great lengths to make sure we were looked after well. The rooms are super unique. A complete open concept, with no walls; Which makes it even more magical. We've spent a large amount of time on the river (which is on the property) fresh and cold water straight from the mountain range. We were also taken to a waterfall. Completely hidden away. What a gem. We swam and relaxed there for an entire day. Lunch was brought to us. Local food at Forestry was one of the best I've had. Waiting to come back.
What an amazing place. Visited with a friend - planned only for a night but stayed 2 because this place has so much to offer. The camp with its wooden cabins with private bathrooms are located in the middle of nature. The landscape and views - a bath in the river close to the camp. Just breathtaking. Delicious food - mostly grown in their own garden.
Exceptional service by Graham and his team.
If you want to experience a hidden gem, which is still kinda unknown - book now. Won’t take long until this place will be well known and booked out for weeks/months.
Great place, a little isolated, very far from the hustle and bustle of cities.
We were told about "cabins" which are in fact very romantic rooms open to the outside with all the comforts.
You will fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of nature.
The reception is very friendly, and the owner is very friendly and efficient.
Excellent and plentiful food.
Very nice experience!
Never been anywhere like this before!
Never been anywhere like this before! Feels remote enough that you can relax and disconnect, but actually easy enough to get to.
Incredible home cooked food (best kiri hodi I've ever had!) and the room was so comfortable, with the most incredible views to wake up to.We were already planning our return whilst we were there, wish we'd gone for at least 2 nights instead of just 1.
100% recommended!
I would recommend the forestry camps to anyone seeking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Photos and words don't do justice to this magical place. I arrived and thought ok maybe I made it to heaven (but I'm glad I'm still on earth).
@theforestrycamps has everything your jungle-hideaway dreams are made of. Our room was tucked away amid the greenery overlooking the rabbit rock. You literally sleep and wake up to the sound of flowing rivers and chirping birds (to having no walls!) We spent our time sipping (or chugging) beer and whiskey in a couple of natural pools of waterfall and rivers while doctor fish cleaned our feet and shiny butterflies chilled on our shoulders. Oh, and the food prepared by a family in their village = explosion of tastes. Thank you Graham for your incredible hospitality!
